Our IMC Business School: International. Innovative. IMC Krems.

At the IMC Business School, we are guided by a clear mission: as an Austrian business school with an international outlook, we develop innovative and sustainable solutions in education and research. In doing so, we make a positive contribution to business, society and the skilled professionals of tomorrow.

With a business degree, our students gain a sound and practice-oriented education that opens many doors: those of international corporations, local SMEs and innovative start-ups. Our business graduates benefit from a wide range of career opportunities, right up to management level. Across all sectors. All over the world.

Our international orientation is reflected in all areas of the IMC Business School and is particularly evident in our efforts to achieve international accreditation, the integration of our researchers into the international scientific community, and worldwide cooperation in research and education with universities, research institutions and partner companies.

We offer framework conditions and curricula that inspire our students to gain international experience so that they can start or further develop their careers with an international mindset and network. International students and faculty contribute to the international atmosphere at our campuses.

We actively embrace our social responsibility as a global issue. Specifically, we are committed to continuously improving our environmental performance and upholding the principles of responsible higher education. We base our actions on the Sustainable Development Goals and act as a role model for our stakeholders.

IMC Business School is positively perceived as a pioneer by its stakeholders.

Our corporate culture and structural framework promote innovation in teaching, research and university services. As a learning team, we question the status quo, recognise opportunities and constantly develop ourselves and our core areas.

Economic and societal trends are the basis for discourse with our stakeholders to define new strategic thrusts in education and research. Sustainability and quality are our priorities when implementing innovations. Scientific findings are published in the appropriate media to generate the highest possible impact.

We are a private education and research company.

Entrepreneurial thinking feeds into all our decisions. Efficient procedures are chosen to strengthen the international and innovative orientation of IMC Krems.

High-quality and sustainable further development results from respectful cooperation between students, teachers and researchers, employees and our partners. Our cooperation is characterised by professional qualifications, a high sense of responsibility and above-average commitment.

Academic understanding means freedom of research and teaching in compliance with all ethical and scientific standards.

We are committed to pluralistic discussion and are free from political dogma.

As a family-friendly and inclusive university, we take into consideration the individual needs of our staff, students and teachers. Diversity is reflected in all dimensions. Therefore, we set our activities regardless of social or ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, world view, age or other personal characteristics.

We promote a culture of openness, trust and mutual respect.

This framework allows us to learn, create and inspire.

Our degree programmes

Why study Business at the IMC Business School? IMC Krems is a University of Applied Sciences. This means our students study exactly where research takes place. Exciting! Research-led teaching is one of our strengths. Another is our strong practical focus. Students learn how to develop and refine business models. At the IMC Business School, there is even a Founders Lab that supports those interested in starting a business. Start-up service at its best!

At IMC Krems, we have been connecting teaching, research and business since 1994. Our students benefit not only from our expertise, but also from our network – during their studies and beyond. The IMC Community spans the globe, offering many opportunities and valuable contacts for building a career.

International Focus

Studying the international way

IMC Krems is among Austria’s leading universities of applied sciences in terms of international orientation.

With a global network of partner universities, high academic mobility and an above-average proportion of degree programmes taught in English, we offer a wide range of international opportunities.

At the IMC Business School, more than 50 % of our degree programmes are delivered in English. Students benefit from worldwide exchange options across Europe, America, Asia and Australia, attractive double degree programmes and outstanding Erasmus+ mobility.

International opportunities

Internationale focus areas

Studying at our IMC Business School means studying with an international focus: The language of instruction in most business degree programmes is English. And the best part: At our university, the international community is automatically included – thanks to the many internationals on campus.

We also make it easy for our students to gain experience abroad: They have the opportunity to spend a study period at one of our 220+ partner universities, which can be found all over the world.

By the way: Even in degree programmes where an exchange semester is more difficult to implement, we enable our students to gain international experience – for example, through our growing number of international short-term mobilities, the so-called Blended Intensive Programmes.

Studying abroad

In our full-time bachelor degree programmes, an internship semester is firmly integrated. This can also be completed abroad – an option taken up by numerous students.

Internship abroad

Our IMC Business School offers selected degree programmes as transnational programmes at partner universities in Egypt, Azerbaijan, China, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. Students benefit from education according to European standards, which is simultaneously anchored in the local context.

In addition, we cooperate with the renowned King Saud University in Saudi Arabia: Students complete part of their studies at the partner university and finish at our IMC Business School – including degrees from both institutions.

Transnational programmes

IMC Krems is a member of UP University, a European university alliance consisting of 11 European universities. For the goals of our consortium, we were awarded the Seal of Excellence by the European Commission.

Further information

With over 30 alumni chapters worldwide, we offer our graduates unique networking opportunities – in international metropolises as well as in smaller destinations.

Our Alumni Ambassadors are available as personal contacts for questions and support when starting in a new environment. Many chapters also organise regular networking events that promote exchange and make settling in easier.
