Krems Cooperation Research Award 2026: Honouring outstanding bachelor research

Klaudia Gréta Cisárová receives the award

This year’s Krems Cooperation Research Award in the bachelor category goes to Klaudia Gréta Cisárová. Her thesis on high-throughput evaluation of genetic variants in LDL cholesterol uptake demonstrates outstanding scientific quality and real-world relevance in the field of life sciences.

The research was conducted in an international setting, including at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and combines cutting-edge CRISPR base editing approaches with applied biomedical research.

The award ceremony took place during the 22nd International Life Science Meeting at IMC Krems. In addition to receiving the award, Klaudia presented her research in a keynote, offering insights into the effects of genetic variants on cholesterol metabolism.

The Krems Cooperation Research Award, initiated by ecoplus. Niederösterreichs Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH, recognises outstanding scientific achievements by young researchers in the field of life sciences. The aim of the award is to promote excellent research and to further strengthen collaboration between academia and industry at the Technopol Krems.

The award honours scientific work conducted in cooperation with a company or institution at Technopol Krems that explores new applications in key future fields of the life sciences.
