Coworking spaces are no longer seen solely as creative hubs for start-ups and freelancers. Increasingly, they are emerging as catalysts for economic development in rural regions. This is confirmed by a recent study conducted by IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences, led by Prof.(FH) Dipl.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Michael Bartz und Prof.(FH) Mag. Dr. Doris Berger-Grabner, MA, CSE, which systematically analysed the regional economic effects of coworking spaces.
