Intensive consultations between representatives of both organisations had already taken place in the run-up to the partnership. Christopher Schwand, Deepak Dhungana and Nicolas Aron from IMC Krems, together with Andreas Strohmer, Head of Innovation at TEST-FUCHS, explored initial opportunities for cooperation. In future, the collaboration will focus on the close integration of academia and industry, as well as exchange in teaching, practice and research. The aim of the partnership is to work together on relevant topics for the future and to open up new opportunities for collaboration for students, researchers and business representatives. Plans include bachelor’s and master’s theses, joint research and development projects, and practice-oriented formats that facilitate a direct transfer of knowledge between the university and industry.

Regional and international

Strengthening regional cooperation is particularly important to both partners. As an internationally successful ‘hidden champion’ of the aviation industry with strong roots in Lower Austria, TEST-FUCHS brings valuable practical experience, technological expertise and innovative strength to the collaboration. At the same time, IMC Krems contributes its scientific expertise and interdisciplinary know-how. Together, both partners aim to develop innovative solutions and create new perspectives for research, teaching and industrial practice.

“As an internationally active company with strong roots in Lower Austria, collaboration with regional educational and research institutions is important to us. The partnership with IMC Krems lays the foundation for long-term innovation and sustainable knowledge exchange for the benefit of both sides,” confirms Volker Fuchs, CEO of TEST-FUCHS.

The partnership is intended to be a long-term development process. In further workshops at the company’s site in Groß-Siegharts, specific topics will be explored in greater depth and potential projects evaluated. Together, the partners will explore how the expertise of both organisations can best be combined to create lasting added value for students, research and industry. Through this partnership, IMC Krems and TEST-FUCHS are laying the foundations for long-term collaboration that brings academia and industry closer together and provides lasting impetus for innovation, training and research.
