IMC Krems has taken another significant step in its cooperation with SONNENTOR: Thomas Steinbauer (Head of HR) and Kerstin Metz (Alumna, Recruiting & Personnel Development) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a strategic partnership together with Bernhard Dollensky. Shared goals and new areas of cooperation

The partnership has been carefully prepared over the past few months. Christopher Schwand, together with SONNENTOR and Nicolas Aron, developed future cooperation opportunities – ranging from traditional recruitment activities to content-based projects.
There is particular potential in involving students, for example through bachelor’s theses or practical research questions in areas such as logistics and the value chain.
A successful partnership with a long-standing tradition
The herb and spice specialist from the Waldviertel region has already demonstrated a strong commitment to IMC Krems:

  • Participation in job-shadowing programmes
  • Presence at career events and the Career Links fair
  • Sponsorships and insights into business processes

This diverse collaboration forms the foundation for the partnership that has now been formally sealed.

Outlook: Greater practical relevance for students

Through the strategic partnership, SONNENTOR will be even more closely integrated into teaching in future – for example, through guest lectures, practical case studies and co-designing courses. Students benefit from direct insights into the current challenges faced by a successful Austrian company, as well as from expanded career opportunities.

A win-win for business and the university

The partnership with SONNENTOR exemplifies the active exchange between IMC Krems and the business community. It strengthens the practical relevance of the curriculum, opens up new perspectives for students and gives SONNENTOR direct access to future skilled workers and innovative ideas.

Strategic partnerships at IMC Krems represent long-term collaboration with selected companies. Together, we pursue a clear vision: to sustainably integrate research, teaching and professional practice.
