With the launch of its first joint Summer School with the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), IMC Krems has taken another important step in fostering international cooperation and experiential learning. Over the course of two weeks, 33 undergraduate students from SIT's Food Technology and Pharmaceutical Engineering programmes travelled to Krems to engage with key topics related to sustainability, global value chains, and corporate responsibility. 

Sustainability 

The programme focused on European sustainability case studies, complemented by company visits to Krems and the surrounding region. Participants gained valuable insights into sustainable supply chains, corporate social responsibility, and responsible business practices while experiencing real-world applications first-hand. Visits to organisations and companies from the pharmaceutical, food production, circular economy, and sustainable agriculture sectors provided a unique perspective on how sustainability is implemented across European industries. Beyond the academic programme, the Summer School offered numerous opportunities for intercultural exchange. Activities in Krems, the Wachau region, and Vienna enabled students to experience Austrian culture, build international networks, and discuss global challenges from diverse perspectives.
