IMC Krems impresses in CHE Ranking 2025/26 with top results

Strong overall ratings in key categories

IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences achieves once again very strong results in the current CHE University Ranking 2025/26 in the field of business-related degree programmes, confirming its high quality of education. Particularly noteworthy are the consistently strong ratings in overall study situation, study organisation, and support provided by lecturers across several programmes.

The CHE University Ranking is considered the most comprehensive and detailed ranking of universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany and Austria. In addition to facts on studies, teaching, facilities, and research, it includes student evaluations of study conditions at their institution. This provides prospective students with comparative criteria as well as a wide range of descriptive characteristics on studies and teaching, helping them choose the most suitable programme.

Business-related degree programmes score highly in quality

In the Business Administration bachelor degree programme, IMC Krems is above the average of comparable universities in nearly all assessed categories. The university achieves top scores in study organisation (4.8 out of 5 stars), facilities (4.8), and overall study situation (4.6). Internationalisation is also rated at 9 out of 10 points – a result that places IMC Krems in the top group.

Internationalisation as a clear strength

A key quality feature across multiple programmes is the strong international orientation: in all assessed degree programmes, IMC Krems consistently achieves top results in this category and belongs to the leading group. Students particularly highlight the involvement of international lecturers as well as the wide range of opportunities for studying abroad.

Similarly positive results are seen in the Tourism and Leisure Management bachelor degree programme. Here too, IMC Krems impresses with strong ratings in study organisation (4.4 out of 5), support (4.3 out of 5), and international offerings (9 out of 10).

Practical orientation and strong support at the start of studies

Practical orientation is also rated positively overall, particularly where mandatory internships and cooperation with industry are integrated.

In terms of support at the beginning of studies, IMC Krems also achieves predominantly top ratings. Students particularly value personal support and academic advising.

Targeted further development in focus

In addition to many strengths, the results also provide targeted indications for further development. These include further strengthening practice-oriented teaching formats in individual programmes, selective improvements in digital learning offerings and study resources, as well as expanding individual specialisation options within studies. The possibility of choosing specialisations has already been integrated into new curricula and revised programmes.
