Great Honour: IMC Krems Supervisory Board Chairman Heinz Boyer receives the Siam University Excellence Award

Heinz Boyer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and founder of IMC Krems, received the Excellence Award from Siam University on 11 August 2025. The award honours the more than 30 years of collaboration that began during his time at HLF Krems. Since its introduction in 2007, the award has only been presented for the fourth time.

Siam University, a private university in Bangkok founded in 1973, has more than 15,000 students and focuses on innovation, technology and social cooperation.

The award ceremony took place during the “Siam Commencement 2025” in front of 1,200 graduates and the entire faculty of the university. The award was presented by University President Pornchai Mongkhonvanit.

In presenting the award, IMC Krems was highlighted as a global role model for academic excellence, innovation and international cooperation, as well as Boyer’s commitment to practice-oriented, high-quality education, his strategic foresight and his lifelong dedication to fostering global academic connections.

“Some things, more valuable than achievement and money, are recognition and awards from international universities and friends. Personally, I have never experienced such an event with greater appreciation. I would like to thank my friend and President Dr Pornchai for this award,” Boyer said, visibly moved.

Building Bridges

In his speech, Boyer emphasised the importance of building bridges, especially in higher education, and focusing on collaboration. The exchange of knowledge and culture is made possible by these bridges, fostering mutual understanding. Over the years, the connection between Europe and Asia – or more specifically between Krems and Bangkok – has been strengthened, creating a wide range of opportunities for students.
