Flexible studies with real-world impact

What Raffael values most about studying at IMC Krems is the flexible structure. The courses are diverse and combine different learning formats. Some focus on project work with little compulsory attendance. Others follow a more traditional lecture format with a strong theoretical foundation.

This mix allows him to adapt his studies to his personal goals. As he is currently building his own business, he can directly apply what he learns in practice. The degree programme creates space to test ideas and gain real experience.

Bootcamp structure supports independent learning

The bootcamp format is a key part of the degree programme. Raffael spends around one and a half weeks per month on campus. During this time, he attends 2-3 courses, usually from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The rest of the month is flexible. Students work on assignments through e-learning, join virtual classroom sessions and prepare for exams. At the same time, they can gain professional experience through part-time jobs or work on their own start-ups. This structure also makes commuting possible.

Strong practical focus and international opportunities

What fascinates Raffael most about the StartUp Management degree programme is its strong practical focus. Many lecturers come directly from the field and bring real insights into the classroom.

International experience also plays an important role. Students can join short-term exchange programmes, complete a semester abroad or gain experience during internships. These opportunities allow them to build a global perspective early on.

Turning ideas into real start-ups

Raffael is currently working on 2 different projects. One of them is “Symbiotic Guides”. Together with his partner, he offers workshops in Acroyoga and partner acrobatics. The focus is on mental health, communication and shared experiences. The project received funding, which allows the workshops to be offered free of charge. The concept is currently being tested and further developed.

At the same time, Raffael is managing director at LIQON. The company is developing an innovative energy storage solution. The goal is to convert food waste from industrial companies into heating and cooling. This helps reduce energy consumption and makes storage processes more sustainable. The team is currently working on a prototype and aiming to secure their first customer.

Personal growth through studying

Studying at IMC Krems has shaped Raffael on a personal level. He has learned that there is still a lot to discover, especially when it comes to communication and self-awareness. These insights influence his studies, his work and his everyday life. Personal development is an important part of his journey.

Creating your own path

For Raffael, the degree programme is more than just studying. It is an opportunity to turn ideas into action and build something meaningful. It also creates the freedom to explore, develop and shape your own path.

Student life in Krems

Raffael enjoys the flexibility of his daily routine. Outside of the on-campus phases, he can structure his time independently. This gives him the freedom to focus on his projects and personal interests. Krems offers an ideal environment for students. The city has a strong student community and is surrounded by vineyards. It is perfect for outdoor activities such as cycling and hiking. At the same time, it is lively and welcoming.

Active lifestyle and new challenges

In his free time, Raffael enjoys being active. He spends time in nature, goes hiking, cycling or diving. He also travels and enjoys practising Acroyoga with friends and his partner. Taking on new challenges is an important part of his lifestyle.
