A reliable partner for more than 30 years: Austrian National Tourist Office

The Austrian National Tourist Office (ÖW) and IMC Krems are strengthening their long-standing relationship: ÖW has been an important partner of the Tourism and Leisure Management programme at IMC Krems since 1995.

In over 30 years of joint activities, a large number of internships have been created in Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO) offices abroad – a key contribution to the international education of students. Many graduates of IMC Krems have subsequently continued their careers at the Austrian National Tourist Office and still work in various areas of the national tourism organisation today.

The strategic partnership that has now been agreed, signed by Elisabeth Burgis, Head of People & Culture at the Austrian National Tourist Office, takes this long-standing cooperation to a new level. It strengthens the transfer of practical knowledge, expands international learning and career opportunities, and once again demonstrates the importance of strong partnerships for the training of future tourism experts. It was particularly pleasing that IMC graduate and now human resources development expert at the Austrian National Tourist Office, Teresa Hochedlinger, also returned to her alma mater.

With this step, the Austrian National Tourist Office and IMC Krems are sending a clear signal for the further development of Austrian tourism and for future-oriented education at the Krems Education Campus.
