700 graduates in four days: Summer graduation ceremonies at IMC Krems

From 6 to 9 July 2026, the summer graduation ceremonies took centre stage at IMC Krems. In a festive setting, the achievements of 700 graduates from 13 bachelor degree programmes, ten master degree programmes and one continuing education programme were celebrated. Around 4,000 guests joined the alumni to mark this special occasion. Together with their families, friends, lecturers, programme directors and the university management, they looked back on a significant milestone in their educational journey.

A special moment for the alumni

The graduation ceremonies took place in the event hall at the IMC Campus Krems, marking the ceremonial conclusion of an intensive period of study. During the ceremonies, graduates were introduced individually, took their graduation pledge and were formally awarded their academic degrees in the presence of the university management. CEO Ulrike Prommer, CEO Udo Brändle, COO Bernhard Dollensky, Academic Head Andreas Lichtenwörther, Deputy Academic Head Tanja Ihden and the programme directors congratulated the alumni on their achievements.

For those unable to attend in person, the ceremonies were streamed live.

Upon graduation, alumni become part of the international IMC Alumni Community, maintaining a lifelong connection with their alma mater. The celebratory atmosphere reflected the values of IMC Krems: academic excellence, internationality, diversity, an innovative mindset and the conviction that learning is a lifelong journey.

Looking to the future

“The graduation ceremonies are a special occasion each year, not only for our alumni but also for everyone who has supported them throughout their studies. Every degree represents commitment, perseverance and personal growth. We are delighted to continue accompanying our graduates on their professional and personal journeys and wish them every success for the future,” says Andreas Lichtenwörther.

Tanja Ihden also emphasises the significance of the celebrations: “The graduation ceremonies demonstrate the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved through collaborative learning, international cooperation and personal dedication. Our graduates leave IMC Krems with in-depth academic knowledge, valuable practical experience and a strong professional network – providing an excellent foundation to shape the future with confidence.”
