Presentation of the IMC AWARDs 2025

Celebrating Excellence, Commitment, and Innovation

On Tuesday, 6 May 2025, the IMC AWARDs were presented in a festive ceremony – a highlight in the academic calendar of IMC Krems. These awards honour those staff members whose exceptional commitment, innovative contributions, and international outlook play a key role in shaping the university’s profile.

The university management – represented by Managing Directors Mag. Ulrike Prommer and Mag. Dr. LL.M. (Com) Udo Brändle, Academic Director Prof. (FH) Mag. Dr. Martin Waiguny, and Deputy Academic Director Prof. (FH) Mag. (FH) Dr. Manfred Pferzinger – warmly congratulated the winners and ceremoniously presented the IMC AWARDs 2025.

A Mark of Appreciation and Recognition

“The IMC AWARDs make one thing clear: excellence is no coincidence. It emerges where people work with passion and conviction,” emphasised Managing Director Mag. Ulrike Prommer. “With these awards, we are not only saying thank you – we are also highlighting the importance of innovation, diversity, and international collaboration in our daily university life.”

Research, Teaching, and Internationality as Core Pillars

A distinguished jury, composed of external experts and an internal committee, selected the awardees in the categories Science, Teaching, Innovation, and International. Once again in 2025, numerous projects and individuals were recognised for meeting the IMC Krems’ high standards of academic quality and social relevance in an outstanding way.

Mag. Dr. Udo Brändle, LL.M. (Com), Managing Director of IMC Krems, highlighted the lasting impact of the awards: “These honours shine a light on achievements that often take place behind the scenes: consistent excellence in research and teaching. Our award winners are drivers of progress – both within IMC Krems and far beyond.”

Inspiring Impulses for the Academic Community

“Each individual award represents a success story that encourages and inspires,” said Prof. (FH) Mag. Dr. Martin Waiguny, Academic Director. “These stories motivate us all to continue working together to create an environment that fosters learning and strong research.”

Prof. (FH) Mag. (FH) Dr. Manfred Pferzinger, Deputy Academic Director, added: “Behind every innovation are people with ideas, energy, and the courage to explore new paths. The IMC AWARDs put these individuals in the spotlight – and rightly so.”

A Celebration of Talent and Vision

The ceremony once again highlighted the unique spirit of IMC Krems: a place where learning, teaching, and research go hand in hand – and where achievement is genuinely valued.

A special highlight of the event was the presentation of innovative research projects by PhD students. Stefanie Brandstetter, Florian Eibensteiner, Alexandra Tsal-Tsalko, Isabella Fischer and Esther Hellmann showcased their work to a wide audience and received enthusiastic feedback.

“Our young researchers are the future of science – and they are already proving how much potential they have,” said Udo Brändle. “This platform is designed to give them visibility and support their journey towards academic excellence.”
